The Inumimi are recognizable by their mobile ears, keen sense of smell, and instincts inherited from great pack predators. Their culture and physical abilities are deeply shaped by this origin. Their society values social intelligence, cooperation, and a particularly sharp awareness of territory.
One of their most remarkable qualities is their exceptional sense of smell. Inumimi are capable of following an old trail, identifying an individual by scent, or detecting traces almost imperceptible to other races. This ability makes them excellent scouts, trackers, and guardians.
Their sense of observation is also highly developed. Rather than acting impulsively, Inumimi often analyze their surroundings before making a decision. They can identify weaknesses in an enemy formation, assess the dangers of unfamiliar terrain, and anticipate hostile movements with great precision.
Physically, Inumimi possess remarkable endurance. Like the wolves whose traits they share, they are capable of traveling long distances without excessive fatigue. This natural stamina makes them particularly effective in reconnaissance missions, patrols, and prolonged pursuits.
Their true strength, however, lies in their collective coordination. Inumimi cooperate instinctively and quickly adapt to the behavior of their companions. As a group, they can surround an opponent, cover their allies’ blind spots, or carry out coordinated attacks with formidable efficiency.
Finally, their mode of communication relies largely on gestures, gaze, and posture, allowing them to exchange information without speaking. This ability favors discreet strategies and silent movement.
Inumimi are sometimes compared to the Nekomimi. While the latter often favor individual initiative and a more independent approach to their surroundings, Inumimi tend to operate within a more collective dynamic where solidarity and coordinated action play a central role. This difference in outlook is reflected both in their behavior and in the roles they occupy within societies where the two races coexist.
