Soria Lovelace (Rainheart)

Soria Rainheart — At the Academy of Military Engineering and Strategy

The classroom gradually grew quiet as the door opened.

Velariane, a military expert and professor, stepped inside. Her gaze swept across the students already seated, and the conversations died out at once. Everyone understood that this would not be an ordinary day.

She placed her book on the lectern with a sharp, almost ceremonial motion.

“As you know, the time has come for the military joust.”

A shiver ran through the room. Some students exchanged excited glances, while others had already grown tense.

“As usual,” she continued, “the classes will form their mini-armies. Each group will advance under its standard-bearer and take the positions assigned to them on the training field.”

She paused. One of those pauses that usually meant bad news.

“However… this year, several complaints have been filed.”

The students straightened. A few heads instinctively turned toward the back of the room.

Velariane sighed.

“The other classes have argued that last year’s joust was not… exactly fair.”

One student murmured, almost admiringly,

“It was a massacre…”

Nervous laughter spread through the room.

Velariane raised a hand.

“I am referring, of course, to the Rainheart triplets.”

All eyes turned toward them.

Svetlana responded with a gentle smile—almost too perfect.
Oriela crossed her arms, as if to say: so what?
Soria simply watched, attentive, already analyzing.

“Last year,” Velariane continued, “because of the three of you, the other groups never had the slightest chance to apply any strategy.”

One student protested,

“That’s the others’ fault! The Rainhearts tore through their camps like a storm because no one was ready!”

Another snorted.

“We hadn’t even finished forming our lines before they were already charging!”

Velariane studied them for a moment.

“Several noble families have threatened to withdraw their children from the exercise if the academy allows such a… massacre to happen again.”

“They’re sensitive…” someone whispered.

“Would you say the same thing if you were in the opposing camp?”

Instant silence.

She nodded.

“The other classes have officially requested that this situation not occur again.”

A collective breath of relief passed through the room.

“Therefore, the Rainheart triplets will not be allowed to serve in the same army this year.”

Svetlana leaned toward her sisters, her voice soft and amused.

“It seems we made quite an impression.”

Oriela shrugged, her tone calm and sharp.

“They were slow. That’s all.”

Soria remained upright, composed, almost gracious.

“The decision is understandable. Their reaction is logical.”

Velariane continued,

“One of you will remain in this class. The other two will be assigned to the neighboring armies. You will decide among yourselves.”

A dense silence settled over the room.

Svetlana exchanged a knowing glance with her sisters.
Oriela sighed briefly, pragmatic as ever.

“They really think we’re going to fight each other…”

Soria was already thinking ahead. Her eyes drifted toward the window, as if she could already see the battlefield beyond.

Then she spoke, her voice calm and confident.

“Very well. Let’s see how they intend to use us this time.”

Information :

Soria Lovelace is a woman of natural elegance, whose grace is never merely decorative: it comes with calm confidence and steady self-control. In everyday life, she moves with a restrained poise that commands respect, speaks with measured clarity, and carries a quiet authority that does not crush others, but sets boundaries. She observes quickly, understands quickly, and decides without theatrics when a decision must be made.

With Arius, she embodies a protective and structuring presence. She can be gentle without losing her rigor: a simple gesture, a brief touch, a firm instruction are enough to reassure. She does not hesitate to organize, explain, anticipate, and lay down rules for travel or safety, because she believes a child’s stability is built as much through affection as through order.

When danger rises, her calm becomes cold efficiency. She does not debate a threat: she assesses it, neutralizes it, and moves on. Her martial and magical power is never gratuitous; it is applied with precision—sometimes with flair—but always in service of a clear purpose: protecting her own and preserving their freedom. Even when she must strike hard, she does so without losing dignity, as if violence were only a regrettable tool, but one she controls.

In private, Soria shows a warmer, brighter side. She teases, smiles, welcomes, and lets genuine tenderness surface with Michihiro. Yet she remains a woman of secrecy and caution: some truths are not meant to be shared, some access is not to be granted, and anything tied to her family’s protection is handled with absolute discretion. This blend of elegance, firmness, and loyalty makes her both a formidable ally and a mother no one can simply bypass.
